5AM Saint is a 5% ABV American red ale (See: Pale Ales) brewed by BrewDog, a Scottish craft brewery founded in 2007. It is made with five different malts (Maris Otter, Caramalt, Munich Malt, Crystal and Dark Crystal) and seven types of hops (Simcoe, Cascade, Centennial, Ahtanum, Nelson Sauvin, Amarillo and Mosaic), giving it a complex and balanced flavour. The beer has aromas and tastes of berry, citrus, caramel, biscuit, marmalade and chocolate.
It is described as a “hop-led homage to American Amber” and a “bittersweet chaos” of malt and hops. The name 5AM Saint refers to the idea of living life on the edge and driving towards the sunrise.
