Timothy Taylor’s Brewery is a family-owned regional brewery founded in 1858 by Timothy Taylor in Keighley, West Yorkshire, England. The brewery is still family-owned and was family-run until 2014 when Chief Executive Charles Dent retired and became Chairman.
The brewery is best known for Timothy Taylor’s Landlord, a strong pale ale that is the second highest-selling cask ale in Britain, accounting for 80% of output. Other beers brewed by Timothy Taylor’s include Boltmaker, a bitter; Knowle Spring Blonde, a blonde ale; and Theakstons Old Peculier, a strong ale that is brewed under contract by Timothy Taylor’s.
Timothy Taylor’s uses a traditional brewing process, using whole-leaf hops and their own unique yeast strain. The brewery’s water comes from a natural aquifer spring, which is said to give the beer its distinctive flavour.
