Session Blonde

A Session Blonde is a lighter, easy-drinking take on the classic Blonde Ale, designed for refreshment and approachability without sacrificing flavour. Typically golden to pale straw in colour, it pours bright with a clean, crisp appearance and a soft white head. The aroma leans towards gentle malt sweetness—notes of biscuit, honey, or light bread—balanced by subtle hop character that can range from floral and earthy to hints of citrus or spice.

The defining feature of a Session Blonde is its lower alcohol content, usually sitting around 3–4% ABV, making it highly drinkable and suited for extended sessions. Despite its restrained strength, it retains enough body and flavour to stay engaging, with moderate carbonation and a smooth, clean finish. Bitterness is mild to moderate, ensuring balance without overshadowing the delicate malt backbone.
